Red Forest Consulting provides human factors engineering (HFE) expertise to
health care businesses who want to integrate HFE into their patient safety, product
development, or product evaluation processes.

Human Factors Engineering is a discipline that blends engineering design with human
psychology, kinesiology, and biomechanics. The goal is to apply knowledge of human
cognition and physical limitations to the design of the systems, such as tools, tasks, devices,
software, work areas, etc. Designing systems that are congruent with our cognitive and
physical capabilities can help achieve optimal system performance. In the healthcare world,
this means keeping patients safer and reducing cognitive or physical workload of clinicians.
